CAD Design Engineer

Our business is based upon 25 years industry experience and knowledge. We specialise in ductwork cleaning and re mediation projects, ventilation hygiene surveys, fire compliance, inspection and testing of local exhaust ventilation systems (LEV) and air conditioning.
We are market leaders in our field and have experienced exceptional growth and are looking for an experienced CAD design engineer. You will be responsible for producing, updating and maintaining electrical and mechanical schematic and layout drawings. Also, providing detailed drawings from sketches or even photographs received and complete survey work on site to produce accurate schematic and layout drawings. You will also be required to take off from supplied drawings, the meterage’s and volumes of elements to allow pricing of tenders/contracts.
Duties for the CAD Engineer:
- Creating and modifying technical drawings to VSS standards
- Producing high quality drawings based on given specifications
- Communicating with Contracts managers and field-based engineers
- Estimating assistance for new products via take offs of volumes and quantities from existing drawings
- Support reporting manager in report production as required
Experience and skills for the CAD Engineer:
- Experience in a similar CAD based role
- Efficient use of AutoCAD to produce high quality drawings on given specifications
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
- Excellent attention to detail
- Confident to work under pressure
- HNC/HND or equivalent in a relevant electrical engineering discipline preferable
